Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement (SPLM) Kenya Chapter is set to officially launch its membership registration on Saturday.

The exercise will be presided over by the Minister of Public Service, Joseph Bakosoro, and other senior members of the party, according to Panyar Agok, chairperson of the SPLM Kenya Chapter.

Bakosoro is already on the ground to make Kenya red this Saturday.

Agok said the move is in line with the party’s program to consolidate its base abroad ahead of the upcoming election.

“The purpose of registration is to identify our members and equip them with the knowledge to prepare them for election and leadership,” Agok said.

Akol Paul Kordit, the SPLM’s first Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs and Mobilization, and Santo Malek, the Deputy Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilization, among others, are expected to arrive to witness this political event.

He assured the citizens that the party would continue to embark on the implementation of the peace agreement to ensure that permanent peace returned to the country.
