Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) and Sudan Football Association (SFA) have signed a cooperation deal to enhance sports in their respective countries.

The agreement included a number of conventions and areas for cooperation between the two football associations.

According to information provided by the SSFA, the agreement encompasses the sharing of expertise in the areas of marketing, sporting facilities, administration and organisation of events, research, and studies related to football.

According to the provisions of the agreement, Sudanese football associations will also offer technical instruction, referee development, football management, technical direction, and programmes for gifted players.

Other sections of the agreement will include beach football, futsal football, women’s football, child football, sports medicine, football research, and the laws and regulations pertaining to each.

The agreement was signed by SSFA President Augustino Maduot and SFA President Mutasem Jaffar. It was witnessed by both secretary generals of the two associations.

The two presidents agreed to keep their friendly relationship intact and work closely together to develop soccer in both South Sudan and Sudan.

In addition, Gen. Maduot and the acting president of Al-Hilal, Muhammad Helfy, held talks in which they pledged to work together.

Madout said he was eager to work with Al-Hilal FC’s management to advance the growth of football in the nation.
