Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The University of Juba has announced admissions for Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma programmes for the 2026 academic year.

According to a public announcement issued by the Office of the Registrar for Academic Affairs, direct admission, also known as private admission, will run from Monday, 29 December 2025, to 28 January 2026.

The announcement comes shortly after the reinstatement of Professor John Akec as Vice Chancellor of the public university.

Professor Akec was reappointed last week by President Salva Kiir through a republican decree, replacing Professor Mayom Kuoirot, who had taken over the position following Akec’s removal on 15th March 2024.

In a notice issued yesterday, the university said application forms can be obtained from the Admissions Office at the Main Campus during official working hours.

The University of Juba said the direct admission exercise is open across 23 schools and colleges.

These include the School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Public Health, and School of Nursing.

Other schools are the School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Petroleum and Minerals, School of Journalism, Media and Communication Studies, and the School of Law.

The university also offers programmes under the School of Engineering, School of Computer Science and Information Technology, School of Business and Management, School of Education, and the School of Arts and Humanities.

Additional courses are offered in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, Applied and Industrial Sciences, and the School of Architecture, Land Management, Urban and Regional Planning.

The institution further offers programmes in the School of Community Studies and Rural Development, School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and the Centre for Human Resource Development and Continuing Education for diploma programmes.

Applicants seeking direct admission are required to present a South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent, in original and copy.

Applicants with foreign certificates must present authenticated documents.

Other requirements include a birth certificate or age assessment certificate, nationality certificate or passport, and two recent passport-size photographs.
