Africa-Press – South-Sudan. For the sake of its long-lasting legacy, the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party needs to disown the current flag of the government of South Sudan and designs its own party flag, or takes full ownership of this flag and as a ruling party and design a new one for the Republic of South Sudan which will represent South Sudanese people including other political parties.
Otherwise, the current South Sudan flag, which is being shared with the ruling SPLM party, should not be permanent if SPLM is not a permanent ruling rarty.
Assume, a new political party comes to power today either through election or other means, that new ruling party will label this flag as property of SPLM and removes it from government Institution and chooses from the only two options here:
This would be a big blow for the SPLM history because it will undermine the whole achievements of SPLM from its formation. The permanent flag for the Republic of South Sudan will be the only living evidence and memory for centuries about all the good deeds of the SPLM.
Therefore, it is not too late for the SPLM Ruling Party to compromise this beautiful Flag for the Republic of South Sudan and then designs its own Political Party Flag or the other way around.
By doing so, the SPLM Ruling Party should consult citizens and other Political Parties to agree on permanent Flag for the Republic of South Sudan which will remain nonpartisan for Political Parties and the Regimes to come.
I wish this message reaches not only SPLM OYEE shouters but also SPLM Decision Makers.
