Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Tanzanian Prime Minister and Member of the Parliament for Ruangwa Constituency, Kassim Majaliwa, has officially announced his intention to seek re-election in the upcoming general elections.

He revealed that he will be collecting nomination forms to contest for another term as MP.

Majaliwa made the announcement today, June 26, 2025, while addressing Parliament in Dodoma during the closing session of the 19th sitting of the National Assembly, which also marks the final session before Parliament is dissolved.

In his farewell speech to the House, Majaliwa expressed gratitude to the people of Ruangwa for their continued trust and cooperation throughout his tenure as both MP and Prime Minister.

“I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much, and I pray to Almighty God to continue strengthening the unity that exists among us. I wish to inform you that I will be collecting nomination forms to once again seek your mandate,” said Majaliwa cheerfully.

The Tanzanian Parliament is expected to be officially dissolved tomorrow, June 27, 2025, by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, to pave the way for the general elections.

The upcoming elections will allow Tanzanians to elect new Members of Parliament and other national leaders.
