Africa-Press – Tanzania. The presidential candidate from the Union for Multiparty Democracy (UMD), Mwajuma Mirambo, has arrived at the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) located in Ndejengwa, Dodoma City, to collect nomination forms to contest for the positions of President and Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania under the UMD ticket.
Mirambo arrived at the premises today, August 11, 2025, at around 5:30 a.m., accompanied by her running mate, Mashavu Alawi. The duo was escorted by an enthusiastic group of supporters waving party flags, demonstrating strong solidarity.
Upon arrival, they proceeded directly to the Commission’s offices, where they were received by the INEC Director of Elections, Ramadhani Kailima.
The nomination forms for the presidential and vice-presidential positions were officially handed over to Mwajuma Mirambo and her running mate by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Court of Appeal Judge Jacobs Mwambegele.
