Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE presidential candidate for the Chama Cha Kijamii (CCK) party, David Mwaijojele said he will unveil his party’s election manifesto if it secures a place in the presidential race.
He claims his party’s election manifesto is superior to those of other political parties, including the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).
Speaking to reporters shortly after collecting nomination forms from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Dodoma, Mwaijojele said CCK’s policies aim to address the challenges faced by various groups in society, including journalists, small-scale entrepreneurs, and miners.
One of the party’s strategies, according to Mwaijojele, is to establish a system where every citizen contributes 100/- (approx. $0.04), which over the course of a year would be pooled and used to support the construction of housing for ordinary citizens, including journalists.
“Likewise, we have plans for ordinary citizens, small entrepreneurs, miners, and journalists like you to create a system that allows people to contribute even just 100/- so that by the end of the year, we, the Social Party (CCK), can support you in getting your own place, even if it’s just a single room,” Mwaijojele said.
He emphasized that CCK brings forth realistic and practical policies that touch the lives of everyday Tanzanians and that the party hopes to usher in real change if given the mandate to lead the nation.
Mwaijojele was accompanied by his running mate, Masoud Abdalla, when collecting the nomination forms, and he took the opportunity to urge Tanzanians to give CCK a chance to demonstrate a new style of leadership.
