Sumaye: Samia is visionary leader

Africa-Press – Tanzania. RETIRED Prime Minister Frederick Sumaye has described President Samia Suluhu Hassan as a visionary and capable leader, urging Tanzanians to give her another term in office to continue the progress achieved under her leadership over the past four years.

Mr Sumaye made the call on Monday in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, during the launch of CCM campaigns at the regional level. The event was held at Nelson Mandela Grounds at Pasua, Moshi Municipality.

“President Samia is a leader with great potential and a clear vision for the future of our country. She has demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to national development. CCM made no mistake in endorsing her to seek the presidency again this year,” he said.

He noted that President Samia has played a key role in steering the development of Tanzania’s Vision 2050, a long-term plan aimed at transforming the country’s future, which is a clear proof of her forward-thinking leadership and commitment to national progress.

“Our gift to Tanzanians should be to elect her with overwhelming support so that she can begin implementing the Vision 2050 agenda in the next five years, an agenda that future leaders will continue for the good of the nation,” Mr Sumaye added.

He further praised Dr Samia for fostering national unity and strengthening Tanzania’s diplomatic relations, calling her “a leader of great importance to the country.”

Also speaking at the event, a member of CCM’s Central Committee (CC) and the campaign coordinator for the Northern Zone, Ms Namelok Sokoine echoed Sumaye’s sentiments, praising President Samia for her leadership and responsiveness to citizens’ concerns.

“Dr Samia listens to the grievances of the people, follows up, and finds quick solutions. She is one of the leaders CCM is proud to present to Tanzanians this year,” Namelok said.

She commended President Samia for steering the country through a challenging transition after the passing of her predecessor, the late Dr John Magufuli, demonstrating courage and determination in advancing development.

“The president took office under difficult circumstances, but she has inspired Tanzanians to stay focused on development. Her achievements in the past four years are visible to all,” Ms Namelok said.

She also noted that President Samia has already outlined her priorities for the next term, including a detailed 100-day action plan, proof of her preparedness and seriousness. “What remains now is for us to place our trust in her and vote in large numbers so she can fulfill her promises,” she added.

The event also marked the official launch of CCM’s campaigns in Moshi Urban Constituency. Ms Namelok introduced the party’s parliamentary candidates for all nine constituencies in Kilimanjaro Region.

Speaking after his introduction, Moshi Urban parliamentary candidate Ibrahim Shayo said his top priority, if elected, would be to work closely with relevant authorities to accelerate the implementation of development projects, aimed at creating more employment and increasing government revenues.
