Africa-Press – Tanzania. CCM has continued to demonstrate its legacy as a liberation party by delivering essential services to citizens and implementing development plans in line with its election manifestos.

Speaking on Tuesday during a campaign rally in Sumbawanga Town, Rukwa Region, CCM’s presidential running mate, Ambassador Emmanuel Nchimbi said the party has remained active since its establishment, guided by sound policies, a robust structure and a track record of exemplary performance.

“CCM is a party that consistently issues election manifestos, implements them through concrete action, evaluates outcomes and ensures continuity of all successes achieved by previous administrations,” said Amb Nchimbi.

He added, “Every step we take is aimed at building a better nation, better today than it was yesterday. This is a country that grows every day.”

He noted that under the 2020–2025 Election Manifesto, the CCM led government has prioritised key sectors, including education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, livestock and fisheries, areas that directly impact the livelihoods of citizens.

Amb Nchimbi said the government remained committed to sustainable land use, ensuring that the needs of both current and future generations are met.

Citing key achievements in Rukwa Region, he said major infrastructure projects have been implemented, including the construction of the 107-kilometre Matai–Kalambo Road, the 50-km Matai–Kahingese Road and the renovation of Kasanga Port.

As a result, the tarmac road network in Sumbawanga Town has expanded from 29.2-km to 46.72- km.

In the health sector, he said the government has constructed four district council hospitals, while also noting the increase of health centres from two to six, and the growth in the number of medical personnel from 260 to 450.

In support of education, capitation funds for school operations in the region rose from 3.6bn/- to 9bn/-. He said around 64 water projects have been implemented to improve access to clean water.

Amb Nchimbi promised that in the next five years, CCM aims to construct three more health centres, purchase five new ambulances, build two secondary schools, eight primary schools and 188 classrooms.

He further said that the party plans to construct 220 new dams and install 30 fish cages, along with enhancing industrial parks in every district of Rukwa Region, based on the most widely produced local products.

Later in Katavi Region, Amb Nchimbi listed additional achievements under President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership during the sixth phase government.

He said the government has overseen the construction of eight new dispensaries, three health centres and 18 new primary schools.

The number of secondary schools has increased from five to 13, while primary schools rose from 33 to 51. Primary school classrooms increased from 290 to 404, with an additional 150 classrooms built in secondary schools.

In the water sector, 332 water distribution points have been established, benefiting more than 137,600 residents, which represents over 65 per cent of the council’s population.

In the electricity sector, the number of villages connected to power has grown from 25 in 2020 to 31 this year, while the number of connected hamlets rose from 38 to 135 over the same period.

“That is why we say CCM remains steadfast in its commitment to being the party of liberation and development. We are here to ask for your votes so that we can continue building a prosperous Tanzania, where every tomorrow is better than today,” Amb Nchimbi said.
