Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has appointed Tido Mhando as Presidential Advisor on information and communication matters.
The announcement was made today, November 19, 2025, by the Office of the Chief Secretary, through a statement signed by Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka.
In the changes, President Samia has also appointed Bakari Machumu as Director of Communications at the State House, replacing Sharifa Nyanga, who has now been assigned other duties.
Meanwhile, according to the same statement, Lazaro Nyalandu has been appointed as an Ambassador.
These appointments come as part of leadership adjustments aimed at strengthening the coordination of government communications and the country’s diplomacy.
