PM Attends Mwanza Water Project Launch Worth 46.2bn

Africa-Press – Tanzania. PRIME Minister, Mwigulu Nchemba, has laid the foundation stone for a water infrastructure project worth approximately 46.2bn/- in Mwanza aimed at improving access to safe and reliable water for residents.

The project is expected to benefit over 450,000 people in Mwanza City as well as Magu and Misungwi districts.

It will also cover areas including Nyegezi, Mkolani, Buhongwa, Nyahingi, Luchelele, Sahwa, Kishiri, Igoma, Kisesa, Bujora, Kanyama, Fela, and Usagara.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of accountability and unity in ensuring the project’s timely completion.

“These projects are for your development. We need responsibility and solidarity. All officials must ensure that the projects are completed on time,” he said.

The Prime Minister is on an official working visit in the Mwanza region, where, during the visit, he is scheduled to tour the Regional Search and Rescue Coordination Centre and inspect the Ambulance Vessel, lay the foundation stone for a water infrastructure project, and officially launch the MV Mwanza vessel.
