Africa-Press – Tanzania. AN official visit to the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is listed among the key schedules in the Austrian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr Hannah Liko’s three-day official tour to Tanzania.
Her visit to UDSM aims to promote collaboration in higher education and research between the two nations.
Ambassador Liko arrived in Tanzania for a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties, trade, and multi-sectoral cooperation between Tanzania and Austria.
Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dr Liko was received by Tanzania’s Ambassador and Representative in Vienna, Naimi Aziz, alongside Austria’s Ambassador to Tanzania, Dr Christian Fellner, who is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
During her visit, Dr Liko is expected to hold discussions with various government leaders, including the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Ngwaru Maghembe.
She will also engage with officials from key ministries, including the President’s Office (Planning and Investment), the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with the objective of enhancing economic and policy cooperation.
In addition, Dr Liko is scheduled to visit the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) to promote collaboration in higher education and research. The visit is expected to conclude on March 25, 2026.
