Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE government has announced plans to install 558 street lights along the 76-kilometre Ntyuka–Mvumi– Kikombo road, currently under construction to tarmac standards in Chamwino District, Dodoma Region.

Mr Ulega said the installation of street lighting will expand economic activities in the area by enabling businesses and other operations to continue safely during night hours, thereby increasing opportunities for residents in Chamwino and Dodoma Region at large.

He noted that improved lighting will also significantly reduce road accidents and enhance security for motorists and communities living along the road.
