MBAO BEEF UP SQUAD FOR VPL RETURN MISSION

AfricaPress-Tanzania: MWANZA based Mbao FC have recruited 25 new players in a bid to strengthen their squad for the 2020-21 league season.

Speaking to africa-press, the team’s head coach Almas Mosha named the players as Rajesh Kotecha, Hamis Kasanga’Moka’,Ndaki Robert, Bruno John,Henry Shindika , Ayoub Mwaitege,Paul Maige and Paschal Frank.

Others are Shafii Kilaba,Daniel Manyenye, Said Omary, Boniphace Swabi,Abdulsalam Katabazi,Alex Mwaisaka, Simon Cradius, Nelson Kitua,Alphonce Guleta, Tumaini Agustino, Athuman Said, Stanley Nyakujerwa, Erick Mabogo, Michael Massawe,Aman Anuru, and Wilson Koranti.

He said that he is confident his squad will perform very well due to their experience with the teams they served prior to moving there.

He said the target is to regain a place in the top flight league and that will come after winning the First Division League(FDL).

He called upon football fraternity in Mwanza to unite and continue supporting their team the way they did before despite being relegated last season.

Mbao were demoted to the FDL after a 4-4 draw on aggregate with Ihefu FC, and their opponents won the VPL ticket on away goal advantage.

Moshi, the former Gold Sport FC and Toto Africans FC coach said they have lined up three friendly matches against Mwanza Combine FC, Gwambina FC and Nyamagana United.

On his side Mbao FC skipper, Henry Shindika called upon the team’s fans in Mwanza to continue supporting them.

Shindika, the former Gipco FC and Mwanza Combine FC player, promised to work hard with fellow players so as to bring success in their team.
