IDFA SUPPORTS ILEMELA TEAMS

AfricaPress-Tanzania: ILEMELA District Football Association (IDFA) has donated various sports gear and food to the three clubs based in the district.

The clubs that received the support include former Union League champions Pamba FC, Bilo Sports and TSC Queens, according to the list released yesterday by IDFA chairman Ephraim Majinge.

According to the chairman, Pamba FC have received 100 kilogrammes of rice besides the sports gear.

Adding, he said the association will continue to support Pamba FC, the team that previously heralded the success of cotton growers in the Lake Zone in a move to enable it regain its lost premiership status.

Pamba are still fighting for the promotion to the top flight league after spending many years at the First Division League.

IDFA, according to him, is committed to help the team and will work closely with the team’s leaders and players so that they can successfully complete their six remaining matches of the First Division League.

In the first division (FDL) Group B standings, Pamba SC are leading the table with 24 points after playing 10 games. The former champions have won eight matches and lost two of them.

Pamba SC team’s Secretary General, Johnson James said he was grateful to IDFA for their support.

He said their team will continue to fight so that they do well in their First Division League matches.

IDFA also donated 50 kilogrammes of rice to the Women’s Premier League side Tanzania Street Children (TSC) academy and Billo Sports team which also received 50kg of rice and two footballs.

Billo Sports’ Managing Director, Athuman Bilal thanked IDFA for their wholehearted support. Bilal said their women teams of Mwanza Stars Veteran Queens are now preparing for their First Division League which will take place in Dodoma this year.
