Africa-PressTanzania. THE Mainland Premier League leaders Young Africans face another unpredictable test as they take on Gwambina at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam today .

The two sides meet for the second time this season hoping to settle their differences on the battlefield after 90 minutes of normal play as the season slowly nears its destination.

Their previous meeting ended in a scoreless draw thus making their today’s meeting extremely unpredictable.

For Yanga, they go into the match heads up after winning their past game 1-0 against Biashara United at the same venue which saw them reaching 54 points at the top of the table after 25 outings.

It was a timely success for the Jangwani Street based club who desperately needed to snatch essential points to keep climbing up and make the title marathon thrilling.

The club’s assistant team captain, Haruna Niyonzima has said that they have prepared well for the match and what is most important for them is to secure three points in every match of the league.

“We believe that our game will be exciting on our side to secure home points,” said Niyonzima. Speaking during a pre-match interview, Yanga caretaker coach Juma Mwambusi said all is well in his squad and that morale among his players is great.

“We will only miss three players who are Feisal Salum, Yassin Mustapha and Balama Mapinduzi as they are still nursing injuries but apart from them, all other members are fit,” he said.

On his part, Gwambina coach Mohamed Badru said his side has had ample preparations prior to facing Yanga and they are looking forward to the tough, exciting and unpredictable game.

“We know that we will play against a big club, but our objective will always be to attack from the beginning to the end and we will feature a competitive team from the one they are used to,” he said.

After today’s match, Yanga will be sharpening their tools ready to entertain Azam in a glittering game set for this week at the same venue. In their first clash of the season at Azam Complex arena, Yanga narrowly won 1-0 in one of the beautiful games of the season hence, the visitors will be eager to revenge.

On the other hand, Gwambina have not stormed Dar es Salaam city for a picnic but rather they are also searching to grab maximum three points to enable them sit comfortable on the log.

They are sure that pocketing maximum points will enable them to finish the season in top ten chart as such, each match at their disposal is very important.

Gwambina accommodate 12th slot on the ladder with 30 points in hand and will be playing their 25th encounter of the campaign and if they continue with the same good performance, then next season, they will be a team to watch
