Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIANS have been called to brace the arrival of world class European Tour Golf Championship and reap hosting benefits.
For the first time, Tanzania has been honoured to host the world-class event which brings together top golf professionals at Kili Golf Club in Arusha in April next year.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Venance Mabeyo, TPDF Chief of Staff, Lt Gen, Mathew Mkingule said the arrival of the tournament is an important opportunity to boost tourism and the economy.

“We have to ensure we advertise the country’s tourism attractions, but also tap in other available business opportunities during their stay,” he said.
Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Golf Union (TGU), David Luoga said over 158 golfers and more than 400 guests are expected to land in the country during the competition.
However, Mkingule said TPDF will continue with its efforts to promote sports including golf.
