Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE World Bank has commended President Samia Suluhu Hassan for implementing various projects funded by the international financial institution at the highest level.
WB Managing Director of Development Policy and Partnerships Prof Mari Pangestu poured the praises to Ms Samia when she paid a courtesy call on the president at the State House in Dar es Salaam on Monday.
According to a press statement availed to the media on Monday by the Directorate of Presidential Communications, Prof Pangestu said that Tanzania is an exemplary country in executing such projects.
She said that the WB supports the decision by the Tanzanian government to promote alternative education for pupils who dropped out from school due to various reasons.
Prof Pangetsu also expressed readiness by the WB to support the digital ecosystem to bring efficiency in using Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
On her part, President Samia commended Prof Pangetsu for strategic cooperation in executing various development projects in the country.
She also briefed Prof Pangetsu about various development projects being implemented in the country through the WB funding such as construction of schools, health facilities and efficiency in the use of ICT and execution of regional projects
