Africa-Press – Tanzania. President Samia Suluhu Hassan has admitted that her government is currently being praised on the grounds of good governance, thanks to her predecessors who molded her to become a hardworking leader.
She made the statement Saturday at Maisara grounds in Zanzibar where Chama cha Mapinduzi’s women wing (UWT) General Meeting is taking place.
“The retired Presidents who are here are the ones who made this product you praise and congratulate today…in front of you is the former President [Aman Abeid] Karume, he is the origin of this product you see here,” President Samia said.
Retired presidents who attended the event were Ali Hassan Mwinyi and Amani Abeid Karume.
President Samia said she seized the opportunity of working with former leaders on how they were discharging their duties wisely and with a hardworking spirit to sharpen her leardeship skills.
“Most congratulatory messages should be extended to them [former leaders] for teaching and nurturing me to be who I am today and to do what I am doing today,” she said.
