Africa-Press – Tanzania. ALLIANCE for Africa Farmers Party (AAFP) has pledged that, if given the mandate to lead Tanzania after the October 29th, 2025 General Election, it will establish zonal markets and introduce standard prices for all crops and livestock.

The AAFP presidential candidate, Mr Kunje Ngombale Mwiru, made the promise during a campaign rally held at Katoro Township Authority in Geita District Council, where he outlined the party’s key policies.

Mr Kunje said the initiative aims to eliminate exploitative trading practices against rural farmers, who for many years, have been producing without meaningful profit.

“I will build a zonal market where standard prices will be set. Bring your crops there, take your cattle there, sell them there and return home with your money,” he emphasised.

He added that, to further empower farmers, the AAFP plans to abolish all taxes on farm products from small-scale farmers and traders, enabling them to increase productivity.

Mr Kunje further noted that the party intends to introduce a friendly and reliable system for the supply of agricultural inputs to all farmers, particularly those in rural areas, rather than focusing on distribution efforts in urban centres.

Turning to the mining sector, Mr Kunje said that an AAFP-led government would prohibit foreigners from direct involvement in mining operations to ensure Tanzanians become the primary beneficiaries of the country’s mineral wealth.

He said the party will create a supportive environment for the purchase and distribution of mining machinery and finance training programmes to equip Tanzanians with modern mining technology skills.

Mr Kunje also pledged to promote mining education among children and youths to help them understand the proper use of natural resources and reduce dependency mindsets in mining, processing and refining.

He further stressed that another key priority will be the formal introduction of patriotism studies in primary and secondary schools to nurture committed civil servants and leaders dedicated to fighting corruption.

Mr Kunje emphasised that if Tanzanians develop a genuine love for their nation, they will actively engage in protecting the country’s resources and ending exploitation, misuse and embezzlement of public funds.

“My top three priorities are patriotism, patriotism and patriotism because our nation is built upon three main pillars the Parliament, the Judiciary and the Government,” he said.
