Africa-PressTanzania. TANZANIA Football Federation (TFF) said the established football philosophy to be distributed to academies and sports centres will create uniformity to the upcoming stars.

Highlighting on this yesterday was the federation’s Technical Director Oscar Milambo who said time has come for all football academies and centers to adapt the same coaching philosophy.

“We have many academies and football centres but each of them has got a unique coaching formula imparted to the young players something which creates problems when they mature because what they learnt before is not what they encounter at senior level. “Every player who is being developed from academy or youth centre has got dreams to reach far in his career like playing for the national team because it is the highest level.

“Our target is that when they reach that level of being picked to play in the senior team, they should all have the same quality gained from the respective academies they were before,” said Milambo.

He added that without having uniformity as a country, then no football development can be achieved since each player will have different characteristics from each other. He added that once the football philosophy has been disbursed to the concerned academies and centres, the federation will be responsible to monitor them to see if they are really adhering to its requirement.

“We will also be able to grade the academies in order to put them in desirable categories so that what they teach the youths should go hand in hand with what we want to achieve as a country,” he said.

He continued: “We need to go along with the changing world by ensuring that we put much effort to amicably develop football from the grassroots level because if we fail to groom youth players, we can never reach very far.” In another development, the federation’s Competition Director Salum Madadi said the upgrading works at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma where the finals of the Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) will be played are unfolding well.

On July 25th, Kigoma will be on standstill as two football giant teams in the country Young Africans and Simba will face each other in a traditional derby finals outside Dar es Salaam battling for the lucrative silverware.

“All preparations for the big match are unfolding well and I expect to travel to Kigoma soon to see how the renovation works are going on but so far, so good,” he said.

Simba are the defending champions of ASFC and they will be attempting to retain it for the second time in a row such that if they succeed, they will become the first team to defend the title for two successive seasons.
