AICC suspends seven top officials over misconduct

Africa-Press – Tanzania. ARUSHA: The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) has temporarily suspended seven officials to pave the way for thorough investigations regarding various allegations, including infringement of regulations and rules of public institution operations leveled against them.

A statement issued by the head of the Communication unit at AICC, Fredy Maro, stated that their suspension was effective since April 3, 2024.

Mr. Maro mentioned the suspended officials as the Director of Finance and Administration, CPA Sayo Mung’ong’o, Director of Properties and Projects, Eng Victor Kamagenge, Director of Conferences and Marketing, Mkunde Mushi, and the Head of the Human Resource and Administration Department, Festo Mramba.

Others include the Chief Accountant, CPA Augustine Karadoga, and the Manager of Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), Catherine Kilinda.

“Procedures and other measures regarding the investigation will be issued later,” Mr. Maro said in the statement issued on Tuesday.
