Africa-Press – Tanzania. AIRTEL Tanzania has rolled out a new three-month festive campaign dubbed “Sikukuu Imenyooka na Airtel Santa Mizawadi,” aimed at promoting digital financial inclusion while rewarding customers who use Airtel Money services.
The campaign allows Airtel Money users to win a range of prizes every time they carry out transactions such as sending money, paying bills through Lipa kwa Simu, or purchasing airtime. According to the company, the initiative is designed to encourage customers to adopt secure, convenient, and digital financial services during the festive season.
Among the prizes on offer are three Mazda CX-5 vehicles, with one car to be awarded each month, 15 Bajaj three-wheelers and 15 motorcycles to be given out over the campaign period, as well as weekly cash rewards. Customers also stand a chance to win instant gift hampers, known as Kapu la Mizawadi, through on-ground activations.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Airtel Money Director Andrew Rugamba said the initiative was both a token of appreciation to customers and a push towards safer digital transactions.
“This campaign is our way of thanking our customers for choosing Airtel. At the same time, it encourages the use of digital transactions that are safe, convenient, and empowering. By using Airtel Money, customers are adopting a modern and secure way to manage their finances while also standing a chance to win exciting prizes,” Rugamba said.
He added that the campaign reflects Airtel Tanzania’s commitment to using technology to empower Tanzanians by making everyday financial transactions simpler and more rewarding.
Airtel Tanzania has encouraged both Airtel and Airtel Money customers to take part by downloading the My Airtel Money App and using Airtel Money for payments throughout the festive period to increase their chances of winning.
