Africa-PressTanzania. FOUR teams have qualified to play in Angeline Jimbo Cup semifinal after clearing their quarter final hurdles over the weekend.

The teams are Kirumba, Shibula, Ibungilo and Mecco, according to the tournament’s coordinator Almas Moshi who congratulated the teams for reaching that far.

Moshi said Shibula will face Kirumba in a match expected to be played this Friday while Ibungilo will confront Mecco on Saturday.

He added all the matches will be played here at CCM Kirumba stadium.

Almas, the former Gold Sports and Toto Africans coach, said the play off for the third place will be played on September 15th while the final will be played on September 18th at the same venue.

He called upon the football fans in Mwanza region to show up in large numbers during semi-final and the final of the tournament.

For his part, Kirumba team’s Head Coach Jonas Julius said his team has been well prepared to win against Shibula.

He said he hopes the game will be tough but he believes they will get good results. Julius congratulated Ilemela MP, Angeline Mabula for bringing the competition.

The winners will pocket 2m/-, a trophy, one set of jerseys and one football.

The runners up will receive 1.5m/- cash while the third-placed team will receive 1m/- and the fourth-place finisher will pocket 500,000 /-.

The best goalkeeper of the tournament will receive 100,000/- as the best referee will pocket 150,000 / – and the best coach will walk out with 200,000 / -.

Also to be awarded is the most disciplined team which will receive 500,000/ -.
