Africa-Press – Tanzania. DAR ES SALAAM giants; Simba and Young Africans have been drawn to play First League sides Dar City and Mbao in the fourth round of Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) respectively.
The two heavyweights will be at home Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam for the two knockout matches whose winner migrate into the next round of the contest.
The 32nd ASFC draw was held in the city on Monday at Azam Media Limited headquarters and according to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Competitions Manager Baraka Kizuguto the matches will be played between January 27th to 31st this year.
Other fixtures of the 32nd round will see Polisi Tanzania versus Ndanda, Coastal Union against Top Boys, Dodoma Jiji will face Sumbawanga FC, Azam against Transit Camp and Namungo against Lindi United.
Furthermore, Geita Gold will battle it up against Tunduru Korosho whereas Biashara United are set to face Mbeya Kwanza as African Lyon take on Kagera Sugar.
Also, African Sports will play Mtibwa Sugar, Pamba against Stand FC, KMC versus Ruvu Shooting while Baga Friends will faceoff Catamine.
In his reaction after the draw, Yanga’s Competitions Director Thabit Kandoro described their opponents Mbao as a tough side and that they will not underrate them.
“We know that for them to reach this far, it means they are a great side as such, not a team to be taken for granted that is why we need to thoroughly prepare in order to make sure that we progress into the next phase of the contest,” he said.
Also, a representative of Azam Rashid Zuberi named their opponents Transit Camp as a good side too and that they will have to work hard to make it further into the contest.
However, from the conducted draw, only two fixtures Biashara United against Mbeya Kwanza and KMC versus Ruvu Shooting will involve an all premier league clash.
