Africa-Press – Tanzania. AHEAD of Azam Sports Federation Cup final against Simba at Lake Tanganyika stadium in Kigoma July 25th Young Africans received motivating news of the recovery of their dependable defender Abdallah Shaibu.
Shaibu, popularly known as Ninja didn’t feature in the team’s 1-0 league win over Simba at Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam last weekend as he was still nursing his injuries he picked during his team’s training session and missed six games the team played.
Last time Shaibu played for Yanga was during a 1-0 loss to Azam in Benjamini Mkapa stadium, Dar es Salaam in April.
Club’s doctor Sheik Mngazija said that the no nonsense defender is now fully recovered after he was declared fit in the last checking on his knee injury and will be eligible to face Simba in ASFC Cup final if the technical bench wanted him.
“He is cleared fit after MRA checking on its knee and has already started training with his fellow players and if head coach Nasriddine Nabi wants him to play against Simba he is ready,”said Sheik Mngazija.
Mngazija added that there is no injury scare apart from long term absentee Mapinduzi Balama who never featured for the team in this league campaign saying that the versatile midfielder will be fit by the start of the next season.
In Shaibu’s absence Tunisian coach Nabi preferred the partnership of Dickson Job and team’s assistant skipper Bakari Mwamnyeto as central defenders.
