Africa-Press – Tanzania. BUSINESS Registration and Licensing Agency (BRELA) has advised procurement and supply officers to crosscheck for companies’ legitimacy that apply for tenders.
BRELA Chief Executive Officer, Mr Godfrey Nyaisa said in Arusha recently that some companies are registered after the government announce tenders, thus lack qualifications, hence the whole thing seems to be dishonest.
“There are some companies that are formed after tenders, especially for government, are announced…the performance of such type of firms are questionable since are not competent their existence are dubious,” Mr Nyaisa said.
BRELA has so far registered 150,000 companies and online registration systems continue to be upgraded to eliminate minor challenges that arise during online registration.
