Africa-PressTanzania. GOVERNMENT has praised the Catholic Church for improving key social services such as health, education and water.

Bukoba District Commissioner Mr Deodatus Kinawiro gave the praise here during the Golden Jubilee of ten sisters under the St Therese Order held at Kashozi-Nyaigando in Bukoba Rural District.

“On behalf of the government I commend the support made by the Catholic Church in key sectors of health, education and water sector. Such private-public partnership (PPP) would be enhanced,” he said.

The Golden Jubilee Sisters included Dr Pudenciana Mdogo, Dr Immaculatha, Sr Revocatha Kokumalamala, Sr Maria Auxilian, Sr Maria Banyenza, Sr Eulogia Nyamwiza, Sr Maria Pietha, Sr Cyrilla Borgia, Sr Yasintha Misingo and Sr Maria Flaviana.

At the same occasion, six sisters celebrated their Diamond Jubilee, six others made life-long vows while three others were admitted as Novices.
