Africa-Press – Tanzania. CCM Deputy Secretary General Mr Anamringi Macha has affirmed that the longstanding relationship between the ruling party and the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) will continue to be valued for the benefit of both nations.
He made this statement recently, while welcoming Professor Jin Xin, Secretary General of the China Council for BRICS Think Tank Corporation (CCBTC) and Director General of the Research Office of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, along with his delegation at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership College in Kibaha Town, Coast Region.
BRICS is an intergovernmental organisation comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.
The delegation was visiting Tanzania for two days as part of the preparations for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) meeting scheduled for later this year.
Mr Macha highlighted that the party-to-party relationship between CCM and CPC, established over several decades, has contributed significantly to the achievements of both countries in various areas.
Professor Jin emphasised that the CPC will continue to collaborate with CCM and the Tanzanian government to promote development for the people.
He also noted the party’s commitment to supporting the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership College, which serves six countries: Namibia, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
“The college carries significant responsibility for training leaders from the Southern African region. By supporting this institution, we are also assisting the people of the six countries that benefit from it,” he stated.
He further added that China possesses extensive experience and knowledge in various fields, including technology and is always willing to share this expertise with other nations.
Later, at a seminar on China-Africa Cooperation in South-South Cooperation, which brought together lecturers from various universities in Tanzania and the Chinese delegation, the college’s Principal, Prof Marcellina Chijoriga, stated that the seminar aimed to provide a platform for academics to share their views.
These insights will be instrumental in enhancing the relationship between the two countries.
