Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA and the United States’s State of Texas have agreed to strengthen cooperation and exchange in tourism, sports, and investment sectors, the plan seeking to boost tourist arrivals in the country.

Natural Resources and Tourism Minister, Dr. Damas Ndumbaro announced in the US on Friday that the cooperation is strategic to both Tanzania and the State of Dallas.

“Tanzania has begun talks with Texas State Administration to ensure the plan succeeds,” he said, informing that the plans also includes the state flag carrier — AIR Tanzania (ATCL) resuming discussion with Dallas authorities to clear the air space for the giraffe.

Equally, the minister who has been in the US for an official visit held talks with the Vice President of Golf in the United States, Bruce Davidson expressing Tanzania’s readiness to host an intercontinental golf tournament.

He also held discussions with the Executive Director of Dallas Safari Club, Corey Mason seeking cooperation in promoting hunting tourism and anti poaching operations.
