Africa-Press – Tanzania. Temeke District Commissioner, Jokate Mwegelo has instructed the Municipality to submit a strategic plan geared to address infrastructure challenges in public schools for at least 50 percent.
The DC gave the instructions when she was inspecting an ongoing classroom construction project at Toangoma Primary School in Temeke.
DC Jokate said she has visited the school as part of her plan to know the challenges facing public school in Temeke.
The DC expressed that she was not impressed by the current school situation which has over four thousand pupils as she added that a new facility is urgently needed.
“There must be a strong and sustainable strategy because every year the number of students increases. The Municipality should work with local leaders and citizens as well so as to make the program participatory,” the District boss added.
