Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy, Dr Doto Biteko leads Tanzanian delegation in the 3rd Annual India Energy Week 2025, an international conference that brings together global leaders in the energy sector.

The high-profile event, which began today and runs until Friday, will see policymakers, industry executives, and innovators discuss policies, explore emerging technologies, and drive collaboration for a sustainable energy future.

The third edition of the annual event also features exhibitions showcasing advancements in clean cooking energy solutions.

According to information released by the India Energy Week summit’s website, the event hosts over 700 global exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies and more than 70,000 attendees exploring the latest advancements.

It also added that: “The platform presents an unparalleled opportunity to discover innovations, forge strategic partnerships, and shape the future of energy on a global scale.”

Dr Biteko’s participation follows the recently concluded African Energy Summit held in Dar es Salaam, where African leaders pledged to provide 300 million people with affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy by 2030.

The summit also highlighted that nearly 600 million Africans lack access to electricity, while close to 1 billion still rely on traditional cooking fuels.

Accompanying Dr Biteko in India include members of Tanzania’s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and its agencies, led by Engineer Innocent Luoga, the Commissioner for Electricity and Renewable Energy.
