Africa-Press – Tanzania. The Ministry of Sports and culture has congratulated Tanzania celebrity icons, Nasib Abdul alias Diamond Platnumz, Faustina Mfinanga popularly known as Nandy and Kenedy Sanga alias Producer Kenny for winning the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) that was held in USA on Sunday.
In the event Diamond was awarded as the best male artist in East Africa, while Nandy got an award for a best female artist in East Africa and Kenny was equally awarded as the best Producer in East Africa.
In the event, the Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz was in a hot battle with other best East African artists including Eddy Kenzo from Uganda, Ali Kiba – Tanzania, The Ben – Rwanda, Khaligraph Jones – Kenya, Gildo Kassa – Ethiopia, Otile Brown – Kenya, and Meddy from Rwanda and Nandy who was in fierce battle with strong contenders such as fellow compatriot Zuchu, Nadia Mukami from Kenya, Vinka – Uganda, Sheebah Karungi – Uganda, Nikita Kering – Kenya, Tanasha Donna – Kenya and Knowles Butera from Rwanda.
However the Ministry also congratulated the Tanzania group of dancers famous as “Creed Vipers” for emerging as winners in the Dance Africa Dance competition that was organized by Zee TV on the 11th of December this year and shown worldwide through channel 166 on DSTV.
