Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Central Committee of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has officially endorsed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, as the sole parliamentary candidate for Bukombe Constituency in the upcoming General Election scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
According to CCM’s Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training, CPA Amos Makalla, Dr. Biteko was the only CCM member who collected and returned nomination forms for the Bukombe seat. As a result, he was automatically approved without contest in the party’s internal selection process.
The decision to endorse Dr. Biteko was made during a special session of the Central Committee held in Dodoma, chaired by CCM National Chairperson, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
