Early this morning, the presidential candidate for Zanzibar from the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party, Dr. Hussein Mwinyi, cast his vote at the Kariakoo Children’s Playground polling station in the Kwahani constituency. Arriving at around 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, he was accompanied by his wife, Mariam, and their three children.

Upon arriving at the polling station, Dr. Mwinyi joined the queue alongside other citizens eager to exercise their democratic right. After casting his ballot, he spoke briefly to the media, expressing his gratitude for being able to fulfill his constitutional duty and his delight at seeing a strong voter turnout.
