Africa-Press – Tanzania. PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan today received Letters of Credence from newly appointed ambassadors at Chamwino State House in Dodoma, in a ceremony that underscored Tanzania’s continued commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations with partners across different regions of the world.

The envoys formally presented their credentials as part of the long-standing diplomatic tradition that marks the beginning of their official duties in the country.

Those accredited include Domingos de Almeida da Silva Coelho of Angola, Marjo Johanna Jacoba Crompvoets of the Netherlands, Mohammed Javad of Iraq, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi of Namibia, and Ivan Lančarič of Slovakia, alongside other diplomats representing countries with diverse political and economic ties to Tanzania.

The presentation of credentials marks a new phase in bilateral engagement, allowing the ambassadors to begin official interactions with government institutions, development agencies and the private sector. The envoys are expected to promote cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, education exchange and technological development, in line with existing and emerging priorities between Tanzania and their home countries.

Diplomatic analysts describe the ceremony as part of Tanzania’s broader foreign policy direction aimed at expanding partnerships and creating space for long-term cooperation in a rapidly changing global environment. With the new envoys now formally accredited, both sides are expected to explore opportunities that enhance mutual understanding and strengthen collaboration at bilateral, regional and multilateral levels.
