Africa-Press – Tanzania. The government has declared war against all sorts of corruption in the area of sports.
Speaking in the Parliament on Tuesday, Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Innocent Bashungwa said that the government will not entertain corruption in the sports as far as match fixing is concerned.
Minister gave explanations following Kinondoni MP Abbas Tarimba’s question over Tanzania Prisons captain who claimed recently that Yanga bribed his side with 40m/- to win a game involving the two teams.
He said the Information Ministry collaborates with other players like defence and anti—corruption watchdog in curbing corruption in the sports.
