Africa-PressTanzania. THE Ministry of Education, Science and Technology announced on Friday that plans are getting underway to review the republic education polices and curriculums to pinpoint areas that needs adjustment to accommodate the current and future demands. The government introduced a fee-free education policy in 2014 making pre-primary and primary education free.

But, concerned lawmakers said in Dodoma, the new policy is not reflective to the current demands. Deputy Minister for Education Omary Kipanga told the National Assembly the government will hold a comprehensive national dialogue during the next fiscal year targeting to analyze the country’s education system.

The meeting, according to the deputy minister will involve key education stakeholders to review and update the education policy and the curriculum. Special Seats MP Husna Sekiboko had inquired when the government will amend the existing primary and secondary education curriculum to meet with current demands.
