Africa-PressTanzania. GWAMBINA head coach Fulgence Novatus said the club management is keen to make the team among the country’s big guns by recruiting two more players in this transfer window.

Speaking to the ‘Daily News on Saturday’ in Mwanza yesterday, Novatus said they have already 25 players so far but they will recruit two and release four players on loan.

They will sign one central striker and midfielder. Fulgence said his team has a serious problem in the attacking position which led to his team missing out on good results.

Explaining the issue of Mrisho Ngasa joining their team, Fulgence said Ngasa joined their team in a preliminary contract and there were some things they were finalising with the former Yanga and Azam FC player.

He said he still has a lot of confidence in his team that they will fight and be able to do well in their second round of the premier league.

The former Mbao FC and Toto Africans coach said the league is very difficult as each team is geared up to do well in their matches.

Gwambina FC captain Jacob Massawe said their team would continue to fight for a good place in the top flight.

He called upon the team’s supporters and fans in Mwanza region to turn up in big numbers whenever their team plays in both home and away venues. In the Premier League standings, Gwambina FC are 11th with 19 points.

The team has won four, drawn seven and lost five. Gwambina FC has scored 16 goals and conceded 14 goals. Gwambina are the sole representatives of Mwanza region after the relegation of Alliance and Mbao FC.
