Africa-Press – Tanzania. The Tanzanian Ambassador to Mozambique, Hamad Hamad, met with the Swiss Ambassador, Nicolas Randin, at the Tanzanian Embassy in Maputo to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the discussions, Ambassador Hamad formally welcomed Ambassador Randin and congratulated him on assuming his new role, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation across various development sectors and leveraging Tanzania’s available economic opportunities.
On his part, Ambassador Randin expressed appreciation for the warm reception and outlined Switzerland’s priorities in supporting development initiatives across African countries, particularly within the Southern African region.
The two leaders also highlighted Mozambique’s role as a host country in advancing regional development and underscored the importance of its cooperation with Tanzania. The meeting is seen as laying a foundation for strengthened, long-term bilateral relations between Tanzania and Switzerland.
