Africa-Press – Tanzania. Brentford have confirmed the signing of Jordan Henderson on a two-year deal, bringing the former Liverpool captain back to the Premier League.
The 35-year-old midfielder arrives as a free agent after a brief stint at Ajax Amsterdam and will look to provide immediate experience and leadership following the departure of Christian Norgaard to Arsenal.
Henderson, who began his career at Sunderland before a legendary run at Liverpool, brings a wealth of experience to the Bees. With a Premier League and Champions League title under his belt, he’s expected to bring composure, tactical intelligence, and a winning mentality to a Brentford side aiming to compete in the top half of the table.
His return to England follows two challenging spells abroad—first in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq and more recently in the Netherlands with Ajax, where he struggled for regular playing time. Brentford now offer him a fresh opportunity to re-establish himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
