Africa-Press – Tanzania. Kigoma Regional Commissioner Thobias Andengenya has instructed football fans expecting to attend a Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC) final match between Simba SC and Young SC to ensure that they adhere to all health directives geared to contain a third COVID-19 wave.
Equally, the regional boss has instructed the fans to ensure that they wash their hands and wear masks before entering Tanganyika Stadium on Sunday.
The Commissioner stated that due to the spread of the third Covid-19 wave, the regional government will ensure that all necessary precautions issued by health professionals are being adhered.
The RC assured all football fans set to attend the encounter that government is well prepared since they have already: “installed water tanks outside the Lake Tanganyika Stadium to ensure that everyone washes his/her hands before get access to the facility.”
Another measures to contain the pandemic, RC added, is to slash the number of people who will be watching the encounter to only 17,000.
