Africa-Press – Tanzania. Leicester City on Sunday parted ways with manager Brendan Rodgers after a six-match winless run that saw the club drop into the relegation zone.

“Leicester City Football Club reached a mutual agreement with Brendan Rodgers that will see him leave the Club after four years as our Men’s First Team Manager,” the Foxes said in a statement.

The 50-year-old guided the club to win the FA Cup and the FA Community Shield in 2021.

The Northern Irish manager has also served Liverpool, Celtic, Swansea City, Reading, and Watford.

Assistant Manager Chris Davies and fitness coach Glen Driscoll will also be leaving, the statement said, adding that first-team coach Adam Sadler and goalkeeping coach Mike Stowell will take care of training and match preparation.

Collecting 25 points, Leicester City are 19th with seven wins, 17 defeats, and four draws in the English Premier League table.
