Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA: PRIME Minister, Mr Kassim Majaliwa has said the country has undergone significant transformation economically, socially and politically in three years of President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership.

The Premier said that the changes are the results of President Samia efforts which to a great extent has strengthened social welfare of Tanzanians, hence, calling upon the public to support her regardless of their political affiliations.

“We have seen her great work, the results of this have been beneficial to all of us.” Majaliwa made the remarks on Wednesday during a symposium on 365 pages of President Samia organised by a local media company in Dar es Salaam with the aim of sharing the success recorded in three years of her leadership as Tanzania’s Head of State.

He said in a period of three years, she has managed to carry on with the execution of all strategic projects including the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), the Nyerere Hydro Electric Power Plant (JNHEPP) and construction of the government city in Dodoma.

The PM said other projects are construction of big bridges including the Kigongo-Busisi Bridge which has reached 85 per cent completion and the MV Mwana Hapa Kazi Tu that has reached 93 per cent and is on trials. In another development, he noted that Dr Samia has been doing well on maintaining the country’s diplomatic relations with other nations thus attracting more investment, tourists, capital and markets.

He said the economic diplomacy also allows Tanzania to address various challenges pertaining to business development with other countries. In improving education, he said currently the country is finalising construction of primary schools in every village to relieve pupils from spending much time in search of education.

He added that the government also continues to increase the number of secondary schools.

Furthermore, he said the government under Dr Samia has been opening doors guided by legal and policy reforms for engaging the private sector in planning development and projects execution.

Also, he said the government keeps on improving health services from village to the national level by putting in place required infrastructures including health centres and hospitals.

“We have added zonal referral hospitals which apart from offering services to nationals also provides treatment to citizens from neighbouring countries,” he said.

He said the placement of health services concurrently with extension of water accessibility to all people. In the other hand, he said the government has increased the agriculture budget to meet its transformation requirement.

Deputy Minister for Mineral, Dr Stephen Kiruswa underlined the importance of the mining sector in building the nation showcasing the government unwavering commitment on supervising the country’s mineral resource so that they can bring prosperity.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister, Ms Ummy Mwalimu said the government in three years continue to procure different modern health equipment in bid of bring health services closer to citizens.
