Africa-Press – Tanzania. PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan, today, August 26, 2025, presided over the swearing-in ceremony of various leaders recently appointed to government positions. The event took place at Chamwino State House in Dodoma and was attended by senior government officials, family members, and close associates of the appointees.
Among those sworn in was Amos Makalla, who now takes office as the new Regional Commissioner for Arusha. Prior to his appointment, Makalla served as the Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training for the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), a position he held for several years.
Other leaders sworn in include Dr. Khatibu Malimi Kazungu as the Regional Administrative Secretary for Dodoma. Also sworn in were Hassan Omari Kitenge, Salama Aboud Twalib, Dr. Deo Osmund Mwapinga, and Dr. Laurean Josephat Ndumbaro.
President Samia urged the newly sworn-in leaders to carry out their duties with professionalism, integrity, and deep patriotism. She emphasized that the government expects to see tangible and positive outcomes from their leadership, especially in improving public service delivery.
