Minister Jafo Praises Coca-Cola Kwanza's Inclusive Growth

Africa-Press – Tanzania. MINISTER for Industry and Trade, Dr Seleman Jafo, has commended Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd for its commitment to responsible business practices, integrity, and creating shared value for Tanzanians.

Dr Jafo made the remarks on Sunday during his visit to the company’s Dar es Salaam facility, where he toured the plant and held strategic discussions with the management team. Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is part of the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) group.

The Minister was briefed on the company’s contributions to the national economy, including job creation, tax revenue, and support for local suppliers.

The discussions also highlighted Coca-Cola Kwanza’s role in advancing inclusive development and adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.

Speaking during the session, Coca-Cola Kwanza General Manager, Mr David Chait, reaffirmed the company’s vision to create lasting positive impact while strengthening its social licence to operate.

“We believe that by following our values, we can drive sustainable growth and societal progress,” he said.

Mr Chait added that people remain at the centre of the company’s mission. “From employees to communities where we operate, our involvement aims to bring positive, measurable change. We want to reflect the diversity of our communities, embrace differences, and promote economic inclusion for underserved groups, especially women, youth, and people with disabilities,” he noted.

Coca-Cola Kwanza underscored its aspiration to continue building strong partnerships that support inclusive economic development and responsible business practices in Tanzania.
