Africa-Press – Tanzania. YOUNG Africans said they will bring in many surprise packages on the climax of the ‘Wiki ya Mwananchi’ slated on Sunday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The annual event, among other things, aims at presenting the squad which will be engaged in numerous domestic and international duels lined up in the coming season.
DR Congo international mega star, Koffi Olomide has already confirmed to be part of the entertaining crew on the day making sure that the wild crowd gets what people deserve from him.
Speaking in the city yesterday, the newly appointment Yanga Spokesperson Haji Manara insisted that members and fans of the club should expect historic moments on the day as they will be treated to unforgettable experience.
“There will be many things to be seen on the day to simply make our fans happy ahead of the jam packed season. As such, people should come in big numbers to be part of the feast,” said Manara.
He also pointed out that one of his main tasks at the club will be to rebuild confidence among members and fans of the club so that they should always trust in their team.
“Basing on how big Yanga are, there is no need to complain about poor officiating or even complaints to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) because those levels are not Yanga’s,” he said.
Moreover, Manara disclosed that one of the reason which enticed him to join Yanga was the fact that the club is better placed to win titles in the upcoming season.
“I like titles. I see Yanga winning many trophies during the coming campaign basing on the nature of signings they have made so far as such, I have no doubt with their remarkable success,” said him.
On his part, the club’s Head of Information and Communication Department Hassan Bumbuli believes the coming of Manara will help a lot to fulfill the club’s desire of attracting more members and fans.
“One part of our transformation requirements centers on focusing a lot on fans engagement meaning that we need to engage many fans in our day to day activities hence he is the right person to help that,” Bumbuli remarked.
He continued that when Manara was at Simba, they differed on many things basing on the nature of their jobs but now, they have to work abreast since they will be building one house which demand team work.
He also narrated that on the epicenter of ‘Wiki ya Mwananchi’, they will unveil many things to go along with the big day itself.
