Africa-Press – Tanzania. ZANZIBAR President Dr Hussein Mwinyi yesterday met the delegation from Global Water Partnership, Southern African Chapter and discussed various water related issues.
The partnership’s Executive Director Alex Similabwi who led the delegation to Vuga-based State House informed the president that preliminary findings have indicated plenty of underground water sources in the islands.
He underscored appropriate use of the precious liquid in the African continent for the current and future generations.
President Mwinyi blessed the preparations for a five-day International Water Investment Conference, which is slated for December 3 through December 7, 2021 in Zanzibar.
Global Water Partnership is an international organisation that works on water availability in various countries.
Former Tanzanian President Dr Jakaya Kikwete chairs the institute board of directors in Africa.
