Africa-Press – Tanzania. ZANZIBAR government has reaffirmed its commitment to pay allowances to security officers who supervised the 2020 national examinations.
Education and Vocational Training Minister Simai Mohamed Said told the House of Representatives here yesterday that the ministry has already paid teachers and transporters who distributed the examination papers to various exam centres.
Answering a question by Wingwi Representative Kombo Mwinyi Shehe who sought to know the government plan to pay allowances to all stakeholders, who participated in the supervision of the national examinations last year, Minister Simai said already his portfolio has communicated with the treasury over the payments.
The minister explained that during examinations, the ministry collaborates with various stakeholders, including teachers, transporters and security officers in the preparation and supervision of the exams.
He said the ministry appreciates all stakeholders as important and everybody will receive their due payments subject to availability of funds.
