PM: Cooperating with Morocco vital for football

Africa-PressTanzania. PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has said Tanzania through its football governing body (TFF) will continue cooperating with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation in uplifting the country’s football standard.

The PM said that on Thursday during his official tour of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the King Mohamed VI sports investment centre to see how the North African country has efficiently invested in football infrastructure.

He said the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and TFF need to continue offering training for the benefit of the national teams of the both countries.

He said Moroccan national team at the moment is among the top in Africa.

The PM thanked the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for helping Tanzanian teams in terms of management and football techniques.

“Our national teams;Taifa Stars, Serengeti Boys, Ngorongoro and Twiga Stars have been pitching camps here in Morocco, with the hosts footing all costs. We thank Moroccans for that,” he said.

During his talks with the Moroccan PM, Saad Dine El Otmani, Majaliwa said Tanzania is still determined to build an ultramodern sports arena in Dodoma as it was said when King Mohamed V1 of Morocco visited Tanzania two years ago.
